Over the course of a year, we meet as a small group to learn and deepen our understanding of how therapy heals.  We will experience first-hand the essential qualities of safety in the therapeutic relationship.  Sandtray and other experiential modalities will be used as we explore pathways to touch the implicit pain and fear that can impact a sense of well-being in us and in our clients.

Participants in this training be able to:

  • Experience first-hand the power of therapeutic processes that source the body’s wisdom in the service of healing.
  • Discuss the importance of interpersonal safety and how to create it.
  • Identify the moment to moment influences of the Autonomic Nervous System and what it means to therapeutic endeavors.
  • Explain how our earliest life experiences shape our perceptual world.
  • Describe the underlying neurobiology of trauma as well as ways to support healing.
  • Discuss the influence of culture on our well-being.
