Rita offers year-long supervision groups in Cumming, GA.  Meetings take place on Sundays, roughly once each month, and last for three hours.  Other days may be available depending on demand.  Once formed, groups are closed to new participants.  Each group will have from 4 to 6 mental health professionals.

To participate in a group you must:  

  • Have completed Level 1.
  • Provide an average of 10 or more hours of sandtray play therapy each month.
  • Have a general clinical supervisor if you are working on full licensure.   

What you can expect:

  • Sandtray-specific supervision.
  • In each meeting two participants will present sandtray sessions for discussion.
  • At the end of the year participants will have 90 minutes each to present a case showing a client’s journey over a series of sessions.  

Supervision hours earned:

  • APT will recognize 4.5 hours of individual supervision toward the RPT credential for time spent presenting cases and 31.5 hours of group supervision.
  • A total of 36 hours of group supervision which may be recognized by your licensing board.  Each participant is responsible for knowing the rules for your particular board.  
  • Supervision hours are awarded only for time present in the group.

Cost:

Cost for the year-long group is $1200 (less than $35/hour) payable as follows:

  • $300 non-refundable deposit due at time of registration
  • $300 due at first meeting
  • $300 due at 4th meeting
  • $300 due at 8th meeting

Dates

Refund policy:

You are making a financial commitment to the entire year.  You will not be reimbursed for missed sessions.  All outstanding balances must be paid in full before Rita will sign off on supervision hours for APT or your licensing board.  All deposits are non-refundable.  

If you register for a group and are unable to attend due to a life-altering situation (such as a move away from the Atlanta area or family/health changes that make it impossible to attend) you may be eligible for a refund if your spot can be filled from the waiting list.
